Toll rates and vignette taxes in Austria 2026 Austria

Last updated: January 2026

As of 2026, road toll prices have been updated.

Important: 2026 is the last year in which physical vignette stickers will be available. They are fiery red in color. From 2027, Austria plans to switch entirely to a digital system.

Here you will find the official vignette prices for 2026, including the new one-day vignette, as well as the specific tolls for alpine crossings such as the Brenner Pass and the Tauern tunnels. Learn how to activate your electronic vignette for Austria immediately and which critical mistakes lead to on-the-spot fines of €120.

If you are traveling by car or motorcycle up to 3.5 tons through Austria, a vignette is mandatory on almost all motorways and expressways.
