There are standard speed limits in Turkey (unless otherwise stated by traffic signs).
Speed limits for motorcycles:

Speed limits for vehicles up to 3 t:

| outside populated areas | 90 km/h |

Speed limits for vehicles with trailers:

| outside populated areas | 80 km/h |
| speedway | 85 km/h |
| highway | 90 km/h |
The minimum allowed speed of movement on the highways in Turkey is 40 km/h.
Driving with a speed lower than the minimum allowed is a punishable offence.
