There are standard speed limits in Poland(unless otherwise stated by traffic signs).
Speed limits for motorcycles and passenger cars (up to 3t):
| in populated areas | 50 km/h (and 60 km/h from 23:00 to 06:00) |
| outside populated areas | 90 km/h (on a roadway with 1 road lane in each direction) |
| outside populated area | 100 km/h (on a roadway with 2 road lanes in each direction) |
| on a speedway | 100 km/h (on a speedway with 1 road lane in each direction) |
| on a speedway | 120 km/h (on a speedway with 2 road lanes in each direction) |
| on a highway | 140 km/h |
Speed limits for vehicles with trailers:
| in populated areas | 50 km/h (and 60 km/h from 23:00 to 06:00) |
| outside populated areas | 70 km/h (on a roadway with 1 road lane in each direction) |
| outside populated areas | 80 km/h (on a roadway with 2 road lanes in each direction) |
| on a motor road | 80 km/h |
| on a highway | 80 km/h |
The minimum allowed speed of movement while driving on a highway is 40 km/h.
