The use of safety seat belts for the driver and all passengers (even the passengers on the back seats) is mandatory in Greece.
Exemptions are allowed only for:
- taxi drivers
- drivers of postal delivery vehicles
- drivers of catering vehicles
- pregnant women
The use of child seats or appropriate child restraint systems suitable for their weight is mandatory also.
The fine is € 80 fine and a driving license could be suspended for up to 20 days.
