The use of safety seat belts, while driving in Lithuania, is mandatory for the driver and all passengers, even for the back seats passengers.
Exemptions is allowed for:
- people exempt for medical reasons
- drivers reversing or driving in a parking area.
The fine is from € 30 to € 50.
The use of child seats or appropriate child restraint system is mandatory.
